Deeper State Keto
I am beyond thrilled to start the Deeper State Keto protocol from three amazing people. Since following these great people, only great things have happened for me, even outside of just healthy eating.
The Makers of Deeper State Keto
Before I get into why I’m doing the Deeper State Keto Program, I want you to know how I learned about the two groups who created the program and why I really like two. Keto Connect, a keto food blogger team, and Keto Savage, a ketogenic bodybuilder who coaches clients. Both have YouTube channels.
When I started the ketogenic diet, I found Keto Connect right away through their famous bread recipe, back in March of 2017. I haven’t looked back. They were great when I first started and they are still two great people to know. We may have not always agreed on certain things along the way in my journey, but that’s perfectly fine. One thing that’s great to see is that they do n=1 experiments while doing keto. Along the way, they have changed the way they thought about things and they also changed my mind around those topics as well. Every day is a chance to learn something new.
Through Keto Connect, I learned about Robert, Keto Savage. The first video KC, Keto Connect, showed that was Robert’s didn’t get me excited enough to watch his YouTube channel. (Robert, I’m sorry 🙁 ). However, I found my way back to his channel last year and haven’t looked back. I was missing out and I didn’t even realize it the first time. Robert also experiments on himself to see what works best during keto. I mentioned that Robert is a bodybuilder, for which he earned his pro card while doing keto. Before his competition, he was also told that it could not be done while doing keto. He 100% proved them wrong! This program is Robert’s protocol.
While starting keto, I learned that if you want to lose weight/fat you will want to keep your fat intake lower so your body can use its own fat to make up the rest of your fat macro percents. During this, you still want a higher fat diet compared to the standard American diet. After I was fat adapted this is the protocol I did to lose the weight I had lost last year.
Near around the holidays, I started to slack off with tracking my food intake and macros. I stayed keto though. My weight stayed stable for a good solid few months. Then, when I would start to track my food again, the scale wasn’t moving. How my clothes fit also didn’t change (the scale can and does lie). When this happens, there is a thought out there to remove dairy and nuts from your diet and that could help your weight loss. I did this and it didn’t help me.
Deeper State Keto
On April 8th the course was able to be purchased, but it doesn’t open until April 23rd. I knew that I wanted to purchase it, so I made my first purchase on a cell phone while I was at work. Locked in and ready to go. In this course, you taper your calories and your workouts. This really makes sense to me as opposed to just dropping your calories all at once, which I’ve always done in the past. By tapering metrics, your body doesn’t get used to what you are doing to it.
Why I’m doing this program
I want to try something new and different to help me with the rest of my weight loss. Watching Keto Savage from some of his videos I learned that he tapers his macros with himself and his clients and I was very curious and wanted to know more about how he does this.
I also wanted and needed a reason to get back in the habit of working out. I used to work out all the time and now I do nothing. Before and when I met my husband, I was doing the program called P90X, which is a pretty hard program. I never saw it as hard in a way at the time. However, I’m nowhere near the workout shape or endurance that I was then. Signing up for Deeper State Keto will help push me to get back into the routine of working out. One thing to note though, you don’t have to workout on this program, if you don’t want to. I’m personally choosing to.
I’m eager to find out how this program will work for me. Everybody is different with how their body will react. For example, Matt and Megha, from Keto Connect. They each had different results but both killed it and had great results. Once I do lose the weight I want and am happy with how I look, I won’t be leaving keto. I intend to keep eating like this for the rest of my life unless something crazy happens.
