Week Three of Deeper State Keto
During week three I decide if I should move on to the next phase or not of the Deeper State Keto protocal.
Monday
I worked my day job and then came home and spent time with my husband and planned out my Tuesday's food.
Tuesday
Today I worked. Then I came home for about an hour and left again to go shopping with my mom. I was getting tired of having saggy butt jeans. So, we went on the search for some. Found 3 pairs at St. Vincent, which is a 2nd hand store. Each pair were around $6. Not too shabby, if I do say so myself.
I was going to and thought about doing an arm workout and even opened up my excel sheet for it. Then I said nope. lol I really did not want to. It was around 8 pm at night and I just wanted to eat my dinner and enjoy my night. There was still time to get in my workouts for the week.
Wednesday
I worked again. Surprised huh? haha
I knew that I needed to workout today even though I did not want to at all. I was just too tired. However, I got myself together and just did it. It was an arms day workout. Last week I did 2 types of workouts for biceps and triceps. During the one type of workouts, I noticed my shoulders getting more sore than normal. It was the type of sore that kind of stopped me from working out as much in the past. So, I opted to just do 3 sets of one workout for each muscle. I did not want to strain my body into pain.
While doing this workout, it made me think more about maybe I'm hitting my protein threshold. I could be more inflamed. The start of this week has me really thinking about how I've been feeling. It seems like I'm getting more heartburn than normal and before and I'm also pretty tired. For being tired, I don't know if it's my macros or my sleep. I might just have to keep track of when I go to sleep.
Another weird thing is happening for me with being female. Full disclosure coming your way. I'm starting to get some spotting, as if my period is coming. However, this should not be happening. My period ended when I started this program on the 23rd and it's only may 9th. So, that's cool. :/
Thursday
Hey, guess what? I had work again during the day. Every day I kind of think I'm feeling better about being sick, yet I wake up feeling like poo. During the day it gets better but not gone.
Today was the day for some cardio because I live in a house with a yard and grass. ha I hate cutting the grass so much. I only really needed 16 minutes for this week, but it took about 25 minutes to cut the front of the yard. It felt great to get in a good cardio though. The colder temps in Wisconsin didn't feel that great. However, rain was coming and it really needed to be cut as it grew with the rain we already recently had.
Friday
Two jobs today. Day job and delivering pizza.
Update with how I feel in phase 1. My shoulders are still hurting. Throughout the week, I wasn't really losing weight but today I'm down 1 pound since yesterday. I did lose about a pound since last night. So, I really don't know if I should move to phase 2 yet for this program. I also still feel pretty tired, more so than when I first started with less protein. Every night this week, I have wanted more fat to eat. I'm not sure if my body just wants a higher fat percent or if I just want more fat in general.
Saturday
I did not have to work today. YAY. 🙂 Today my husband and I slept in as we are both kind of sick and well sleep is awesome. I felt better than him throughout the day though. After I had my first meal other than coffee and a fat bomb in the morning, I ended up taking a nap around 5 pm. I've been pretty exhausted in the evenings and well it's just not cool. Got to thinking that this may be another sign that I hit my protein threshold.
After my nap, my husband and I went over to my parent's house for Mothers Day. They made pizza for themselves on a new grill my dad got for pizzas and I brought some cheese and salami for myself. I could have brought my own pizza crust to make and toppings but I did not want to take the time to measure all of that for day to bring over. Meat and cheese made it easier for myself. After dinner, we played cards and I won. 🙂
To confirm my thoughts about possibly moving onto phase 2 of Deeper State Keto, I went to the community forum they have on the site. Everyone on there is really great about getting back to your questions and concerns. There is at least one main guy who's gone through this protocol so far and is helping hugely and gets back to your questions.
I told them about my tiredness, my shoulders hurting more, my weird almost spotty period thing, how I just feel like I want more fat. We went into more detail of some things also. In the end, I choose to move to phase 2 on this coming Monday. He was also going to suggest that I do the same before I mentioned that I decided to move to the next level. It's crazy to think that just 1% of fat difference makes all the difference in how your body feels. I started with 80% fat, then 79% and then at 78% my body didn't' like the amount of protein percent I was having.
Sunday
Another glorious day off. Woke up around 10 today and had a fatty coffee with a fat bomb. I wanted something to bite into. 🙂
After relaxing for a bit and watched my two favorite people/couples on youtube and then went to go buy some flowers for my front door. Came home and cleared off the porch to make it look decent again. Then just put the flowers I got outside. I did not plant them yet. I'm thinking maybe tomorrow I will do that after work.
Today was basically a nice relaxing Sunday filled with housework and figuring out my meals.
At 6 pm Central time, Robert came on the DSK YouTube Channel and did a live Q & A, so I watched that and asked a couple of questions on there. These lives are also saved. This was the 3rd Sunday that they had this. One more to go for the live sessions.
